Whether homegrown, shop bought or wild harvested – get yourself some mushrooms and whip up this delicious mushroom pate recipe… pronto!
Now, while I’m someone who loves chicken liver pate, I have to say this mushroom pate recipe is also truly delicious. And I can only imagine how it would taste if you made it with homegrown mushies.
We do harvest our own field mushrooms when we can find them, and they certainly have plenty of flavour. So in whatever fashion suits you – homegrown, shop bought or wild-harvested – get yourself some mushrooms and whip up this mushroom pate recipe.
Ingredients:
- 400g mushrooms, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp brandy
- Thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper
- 150g marinated feta
Method:
Cook mushrooms, onion and garlic in butter for 5-6 minutes. Add the brandy and cook off the liquid. Add thyme and rosemary, salt and pepper to taste. Once it cools slightly, blend together and add the feta cheese. Blend again. Done!
